The Old Catholic Church of North America, also known as the Old Catholic Communion of North America, serves as the Province of the Americas for The Old Catholic Church (TOCC). The TOCC is dedicated to preserving the rich spiritual and liturgical heritage of the ancient, undivided Church. As intened by the founding fathers of Old Catholcism, we are rooted in the orthodox traditions of the early Christian Church, and committed to living out the timeless truths of the Apostolic faith. The TOCC traces its theological and sacramental life to the early centuries of Christianity, maintaining the apostolic continuity and integrity that defined the historic Church before the divisions of later centuries.
At the heart of our worship is the Holy Eucharist, celebrated with reverence, beauty, and deep theological significance. All who have been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit are invited to receive Holy Communion. We affirm that the table of the Lord is not ours to restrict, but Christ’s to offer, and we invite all baptized Christians to join us in receiving the sacred Body and Blood of our Savior.
In each of our parishes, you will find a warm and welcoming community of faith, grounded in prayer, worship, and service. Our parishes are family-oriented and spiritually nurturing. We understand that life can bring complex situations and challenges, including divorce and remarriage. In the spirit of Christ’s compassion, our Church welcomes divorced and remarried individuals to participate fully in the sacramental life of the Church.

We Are Traditional Old Catholic
This means we are not Roman Catholic and instead profess the orthodox faith of the Early and Undivided Church which was the intent of the founders of Old Catholicism. With this in mind we like to say that we are not a western rite Eastern Orthodox Church - we are in all reality what Rome used to be - western and orthodox.
We Are Liturgical, Sacramental, and Apostolic
Our parishes celebrate Holy Eucharist using either our Missal or they may use other rites depending on the makeup of the congregation being served. We profess and provide seven Sacraments and allow all baptized Christians to receive Holy Communion.
We Are Ecumenical
We seek unity with all orthodox catholic churches and as such seek dialog with all communions who profess the beliefs and theology of the Early Church.

Metropolitan Michael Nesmith is the presiding bishop of the Province of the Americas in The Old Catholic Church (TOCC). He stands in the unbroken line of Apostolic Succession, faithfully preserving the authority and teachings passed down from Christ Jesus through the apostles. Metropolitan Michael’s apostolic succession is recognized through validly consecrated bishops whose lineage traces back to the ancient sees, through the Apostle Peter, to Christ. Metropolitan Michael upholds orthodox doctrine, sacramental integrity, and pastoral care, serving as a shepherd committed to the faith once delivered to the saints. His ministry embodies apostolic truth, service, and spiritual leadership.
